Removal and servoupravleniye installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Lift a forward part of the car and establish on support.
  2. Unbend the ends шплинтов on nuts of hinges of steering drafts and take out them бокорезами.
  3. Weaken nuts of hinges of steering drafts.
  4. Disconnect hinges a suitable stripper as it was already shown on an illustration.
  5. Weaken a collar of a hydraulic hose and disconnect a hose.
  6. Unscrew a cap nut of the pipeline on the steering mechanism, take out the pipeline and collect following liquid in capacity.
  7. Weaken four bolts of fastening of the steering mechanism.
  8. Disconnect the bottom hinge of a steering shaft from a steering gear wheel.
  9. Also remove top tightening a bolt of the kardanny hinge of a steering that later the hinge could be taken out completely.
  10. Release a cable plait from fastening on an intermediate frame.
  11. Completely remove bolts of fastening of the steering mechanism and remove an assembly bracket.
  12. Substitute the lift with wooden laying under the power unit, lift it while it will be well tense, unscrew average bearing the engine and take out it. The back engine mount should be also removed.
  13. Now take out the steering mechanism. For this purpose at first shift it to the left, then lower and take out on the right side of the car. Steering drafts remain on the steering mechanism. The Kardanny hinge at a vynimaniye should leave gearing with a gear wheel of a steering and a steering column.
  14. Installation of the steering mechanism is carried out in return sequence taking into account the next moments:
  15. Tighten the steering mechanism with effort of 73-97 N • m.
  16. Uploshcheniye on a gear wheel level with a carving opening of a flange and carefully hammer tightening a bolt, without having damaged a carving. Tighten a nut with effort of 25-30 N • m.
  17. Tighten both hydraulic pipelines on the steering mechanism, being guided by an illustration. Tighten the pipeline of low pressure (1) with effort of 20-25 N • m, the pipeline of a high pressure (2) with effort of 15-25 N • m.

  1. At connection of both steering drafts operate as on a usual steering (see also illustration).
  2. Check, that spokes of a steering wheel stood correctly when wheels are on the average situation. Perhaps, that the gear wheel of a steering is turned on one superfluous turn.

Steering repair

As it was already mentioned for a steering without the hydraulic booster, it is not necessary to repair it. At essential damages it is meaningful to establish the new steering mechanism.

Check of a tension of a maple belt of the pump of a steering

The provision of driving belts of the pump of a steering for both executions of the engine is shown on illustrations below. Also in the item. "The tension of a belt is checked..." the sizes are specified, on which belts should be pressed through by pressing them by a thumb.

As well as the arrangement, adjustment of belts differs on the carburetor and injector engine. Both belts have the device of a tension which look also differently. If adjustment is necessary, perform the following works:

  1. On the injector engine, being guided by an illustration, weaken a bolt (2) and tighten an adjusting bolt (1), the demanded tension will not be reached yet. Then tighten a bolt (2) with effort of 16-22 N • m. After adjustment check a tension in the place specified illustrations and compare to demanded value.

  1. On the carburetor engine, being guided by an illustration, weaken a lock-nut (2) on inside of the tension device and turn an adjusting bolt (1), the demanded tension will not be reached yet. Tighten a lock-nut (2) with effort of 6-9 N • m.
  2. If maple the belt is too weakened, the pump unable to create pressure necessary for a steering. The slowed-down reaction of wheels to turns of a steering wheel can be a consequence.

Filling of a steering and removal from air system

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Establish the car on an equal surface.
  2. Warm up the engine.
  3. Let's to the engine work with number of turns of 1000 rpm or less and turn a steering wheel from an emphasis against the stop to increase temperature of hydraulic oil.
  4. Unscrew a cover of a compensatory tank of a steering and check, that level of oil was between two marks in a measuring core (illustration). If check is carried out on cold liquid, level of oil lies on a core slightly below.
  5. If it is required, add liquid (which it is used in automatic transmissions), and modify level.
  6. Again screw a cover.
  7. If the system was devastated, it is necessary to remove air from it:
  8. Establish a forward part of the car on support.
  9. Two or three times turn a steering wheel from an emphasis against the stop.
  10. If level of liquid falls, add liquid.
  11. Check liquid level in a tank as it was described above.
  12. Start the engine and leave to idle.
  13. Two or three times turn a steering wheel from an emphasis against the stop.
  14. Again lower the car on wheels.
  15. Let's to the engine work with number of turns of 1000 rpm.
  16. Several times turn a steering wheel from an emphasis against the stop.
  17. Turn a steering wheel in average situation.
  18. Turn out a cover of a compensatory tank and check liquid level. Start now the engine and check, whether level increases in a tank. If level increases more than on 5 mm, works on removal of air should be repeated, as in system still there is an air.
  19. Again establish a cover.

Liquid replacement

If liquid is already long used, the pump or the steering mechanism were removed or hydraulic oil mixed up with air, it is necessary to replace liquid:

  1. Establish a forward part of the car on support.
  2. Disconnect a returnable hose from a compensatory tank and merge liquid in the substituted capacity.
  3. Turn a steering wheel from an emphasis against the stop while all liquid leaves system.
  4. Fill system with liquid and remove air as it is described in the previous point. Surely use thus appropriate liquid. Dexron oil is usually filled in, however in your Nissan center can offer another.
  5. Make a trial trip and check, that the steering well reacted to rotation of a steering wheel in movement and on a place.
