Removal of an axis of a back nave
It is necessary to replace an axis of a nave, if holders of bearings on it are turned, the carving of a nut is damaged or an axis погнута. The back nave should be removed.
|
- From a reverse side of a board of a brake weaken a cap nut of the wheel brake cylinder (on drum-type brakes) or remove a brake support. Collect following brake liquid.
- Unscrew a brake board with brake shoes or a guard (on disk brakes) from an axis of a nave and put aside, without having damaged thus a cable of the hand brake.
- From the bottom party of an axis of a nave unscrew a bolt of the cross-section and longitudinal lever and weaken both bolts which fix a nave axis on the lower part of an amortization rack. Also disconnect a bar of the stabilizer of cross-section stability to have more freedom of movements at work. Check a nave axis on wear in basic places, check surfaces of landing of epiploons and a carving.
- Installation is carried out in return sequence taking into account the next moments:
- Place a nave axis on an amortization rack, without tightening, and substitute under an amortization rack the lift. Raise an amortization rack while it will be energized (a body will a little rise from support) and tighten bolts and nuts with
the moments of an inhaling shown on an illustration when wheels will stand on the earth.
- Establish a board of a brake and tighten bolts with effort of 33-45 N • m. The inhaling is made cross-wise. Thus not to soil brake shoes. On disk brakes establish a support.
- Establish a wheel nave as it is described in the Section Back naves and bearings of naves.
- Connect the brake pipeline and pump over brakes as it is described in the Section Pumping of brakes.
- Lower the car on wheels and tighten bolts and nuts cross-section and longitudinal levers with
the moments of an inhaling given on an illustration.
