Adjustment of forward wheels
At check of adjustment of forward wheels the car should be on an equal surface, and in tires there should be a pressure corresponding to Specifications. Before measurement of a convergence it is important, that a steering, the suspension bracket of wheels and bearings of naves were established properly and had no люфта. Disorder, выбег and a cross-section inclination of an axis of turn of a wheel are not regulated. If values at measurement do not correspond demanded, it is possible to assume that details of a forward suspension bracket are deformed and should be replaced.
At measurement of disorder and выбега the car should be brought into a working condition. Besides it is necessary to fill a fuel tank.
Adjusting values are given in Specifications at the beginning of Head.
The convergence is regulated after weakening of lock-nuts of steering drafts by lengthening or truncation of steering draft. Steering drafts have the left carving on the one hand and the right carving with another, so the average pipe can be rotated to the left or to the right to change adjustment (an illustration lower).
If steering drafts acted in film, before the beginning of adjustment of a convergence it is necessary to establish them at distance of 183.6 mm. The distance is measured between shooters (see an illustration below).
At measurement of a convergence act as follows:
Check выбега (longitudinal inclination of an axis of turn)
Выбег it is possible to measure by the usual goniometer intended for this purpose. Certainly, optical devices are more exact. At an angle выбега understand an inclination of a rotary fist back, concerning the line which has been carried out up at right angle to a surface of the road, looking sideways at a wheel and an amortization rack. If to present the line carried out through an amortization rack, it should pass before a forward wheel on the road. On an illustration the corner выбега below is shown.
Value выбега is given in Specifications at the beginning of Head.
If at measurement it becomes clear, that выбег lies out of admissible limits, it is necessary to check a forward suspension bracket on deformation existence. For example, sharp arrival on поребрик can make negative impact on выбег.
Check and disorder adjustment
As disorder understand a tilt angle of a rotary fist outside if to look at the forward party of a wheel, it is relative to the line which has been carried out perpendicular to the road. On an illustration the disorder corner is visually shown. A corner of disorder it is possible to measure by the ordinary device for disorder measurement, however optical devices, of course, more exact. The corner of disorder is measured in degrees and minutes.
If at measurement it is revealed that the corner of disorder lies out of admissible limits, it is possible to assume that one or several elements of a forward suspension bracket are deformed. Check it.
Adjustment of an angle of rotation of wheels
For exact adjustment of an angle of rotation of wheels it is necessary to establish forward wheels on a rotary disk. The angle of rotation of wheels is specified in Specifications. Apparently, angles of rotation of an internal wheel of turn and an external wheel of turn differ. Besides there is a so-called raznostny corner of a convergence at which one wheel is displaced on a corner 20 °. Only at movement on a cross-country terrain the angle of rotation of wheels can change. It is best of all to measure it in a workshop.
